Recently, one of our most esteemed contributors in the area of Higher Education Development, Prof. Manuel Freire-Garabal, has created a project related to disruption in the world of Online Post-Graduate Education.
This project name is Al-Khalifa Business School LLP. Is an educational company founded in the United Kingdom offering Post-Graduate Level Higher Education, Cultural Education and Educational Support Services.
This innovative project is an opening route between practical and theory education avoiding the problems of acknowledge experience by Online Education.
Al-Khalifa Business School (AKBS) started as an innovation company in business learning in different areas of Business like Agriculture, Media, Health, Law, Music and Economy with flexible programs for helping students to get a practical base with theory composed by experts in the materials, as well as to achieve students to work and learn with their professors at high quality companies.
Although, In August 2019, they opened an office in the City Center of London with the advisory of different experts from Worldwide, AKBS is focused in E-Learning on technology disrupting, Disruptive Innovation. About the team and to introduce a bit more of the founder, Prof. Sir Manuel Freire-Garabal y Núñez (LLB., MBA., PhD. H.,) is the founder and current Managing director.
He uses to contribute in different blogs of Harvard University and other universities of the US like the University of California Berkeley, the Indiana University or the University of Southern California. Currently, he works also Associate Professor and Vicepresident of Communications at Asean University International as advisor of IIC University and of City University Group. He advises about Higher Education development to Advisor of Higher Education of the University of California-Berkeley and The Times of India.
He is a usual contributor of relevant media like Le Monde, Le Figaro, MSNBC and Microsoft Education, between a long list of collaborations.
He is Graduated in Law in A Coruña University (2013-2017), Graduated in Journalism at National Journalists Association of Cuba in Exile (2013-2017) and MBA in “International Construction Management” at European University of Madrid (2017-2018). He studied courses and specializations in business, management and cybersecurity at Wharton University, MIT, INSEAD Business School, Yale, New York University, Berklee Music, Columbia University, ESSEC Business School, Harvard University, Indian School of Business, London Business School, Princeton University, Stanford University or The Johns Hopkins University, between others.
In 2019, Prof. Freire-Garabal received the Honorary Doctorate (Honoris Causa) in Human Rights and Diplomacy by the Asean University International (Indonesia) and Honorary Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Peace by Noble International University (USA).
Since 2016 he is member of several Spanish and international academies and received more than twenty National and International awards. Sir Manuel is advisor of some Princes and Royal Houses around the World as well as Honorary Ambassador of different organizations related to United Nations, Since July of 2018 he is the President of the Private Council of the Prince Mahmoud Salah Al Din Assaf, one of the most ancient Royal Families of Middle East.
He is mainly advised by Prof. Sir Brian Patrick Luining, an expert in Disrupting programs with headquarters in Netherlands.
Prof. Luining is Graduated with an international master’s degree in communications, as well as bachelor’s degrees in corporate management and in foreign trade management. Certified in program management with APMG International and PMI.
He is Board member and CEO of innovative technology driven companies in the digital workspace domain, food industry, natural resources and energy, defense and advanced systems. He is Secretary of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George and Founder of the Initial Smile Token and investor in the Economy of Peace He is Senior Advisor to Lead Ventures – The Office of H.H. Sheikh Sultan Bin Abdullah Al Qasimi. Currently, Prof. Luining is also Private partner to The office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and active contributor to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. He is also the Chairman of Reifenberg von Hattstein Family Office.
Between the advisory Board there are other relevant members like Afaf Konja, Sir Anthony Ritossa, Hari Eppanapally, Igor Eleferenko, Mohamed Al Ali, H.H. Mahmoud Salah Al Din Assaf, Luis Suárez, H.M. Togbe Osei III and The Private Council of His Highness Mahmoud Salah Al Din Assaf. As AKBS clarify the Alliance supports research and development and alumni activities. Through Assaf Foundation group of Associated Universities and Business Schools with the aim of build strong collaborations for research and the development of global programs and curricula. The Assaf Family developed in the last 5 years programs of higher education to develop learning and e-learning programs with the special image of Middle East population in all the regions of the World.
According to disrupting projects, AKBS is a contributing institution in the Global Alliance of the world’s universities, colleges and sustainability networks recorded in the report which is entitled “Global universities, colleges and students leading delivery of the UN Sustainable Development Goals” Which belongs to UN Sustainable Development Program.
The intention of AKBS is contribute to the research of UN to promote the role of higher education in the SDGs Goal 4 and on senior management in universities and colleges to look for innovative ways to increase staff and student capacity to address the SDGs. Recently, AKBS had create the Partnership program “Cross-Cultural and Cross-Functional Higher Education Project” Partnership for SDGs Initiative Registered in the database of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
