Al-Khalifa Business School launches the first educational book based on the courses of Agribusiness Program “The Business of Coffee”.

World coffee consumption has increased by 11.3% in the last 4 years. In this regard, in Asia, the increase in young middle-class professionals and the consumer base in China and India have led to coffee consumption.

By its apparent opening, China increased its domestic consumption by 88.6% in the last 4 years. because coffee has become a fashion symbol, which increases global demand for coffee since China represents 20% of the World’s population.

The countries of the Middle East have increased their consumption based on increases in income which are expected to boost the coffee market in the short and medium-term.

This book coordinated by Prof. Sir Manuel Freire-Garabal y Núñez was elaborated with the different information provided about the coffee industry by the Governments of El Salvador, Colombia and Nicaragua with complementary relevant bibliography to explain the way of constructing a business in the field of coffee as well as the different investment ways in the world of coffee and the correspondent risks.
