Sir Sergey Pecheliev (Russian Federation) studied engineering in mining at North-Caucasian Mining and Metallurgical Institute. With more than 30 years of experience he served as General Director of Moscow Cadastral Engineers LLC; General Director of LLC Foreign Trade Metallurgical Company; General Director of Tuimsky Non-Ferrous Metal Processing Plant OJSC; Deputy General Director of Vtormet OJSC, Evrazholding-Krasnoyarsk; Production Director of Belinsk-Selmash OJSC, IARC Group; Deputy General Director of OJSC Georgievsky Valve Plant, IARC group; General Director of Alapaevsky Metallurgical Plant OJSC, Uraltransgaz; Director of Rezhsky Nickel Plant OJSC UMMC; Leading specialist at the Uralelectromed OJSC UMMC; Head of Supply Department, Urup Mining and Processing Plant OJSC UMMC; Secretary of the district committee of the Urup region of the CPSU; Head of the underground mining section of Urup Mine, UMMC and worker of the copper electrolysis workshop of the Severonickel plant, the Norilsk Nickel Association.

Nowadays he is Vice-rector for construction and property issues. In the position of vice-rector, he oversees the construction and overhaul of the property complex of MGIMO-University of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia. He Supervises the work of the Directorate of the designed and under construction facility. Fulfills the assignment of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs represented by the Department of Capital Construction and Property Abroad, as the Customer at the facilities under construction at MGIMO’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

He has a number of publications in the field of development of the metallurgical complex of Russia and the development of new technological metallurgical processes and he has patents for new metallurgical alloys.

He received the Order of Paul I of Russia, the Order of St. Stanislav III degree and Order of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker III degree.
