Prof. Sir Manuel Freire-Garabal has been recognized the last week by Revista Turística Dstinos Internacional as the “Humanitarian Person of the Year” during the prestigious PRAXIS awards.

He works in philanthropy, giving free education and resources to the Middle East and Africa. He is highly recognised for his remarkable contributions by organisations such as the IDPs National Centres of Iraq, the Pan African Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development Centre, or the UNESCO member FUNVIC. Because of his social impact he was included in many global ranked lists and has been highlighted and interviewed in media like Forbes, Cosmo, CNBC, CBS, ABC, or Fox News. Additionally, he is a recognised Honorary Ambassador to many organisations with consultative status at the United Nations and he is an active member of Lions International Club.

He holds different legitimated knighthoods given by religions and representatives for service to the royal houses and States heads. He has received high civil honours from the Russian Federation, the Russian Orthodox Church, the States of Arkansas and Kentucky and the local governments of Machu Picchu, Medley and North Miami Beach.
