The Educational Group with more than 500,000 Students Globally was founded by Prof. Sir Manuel Freire-Garabal y Núñez with their first school in 2019.

AKBS was established in 2019 with the support of some of the most distinguished Family Offices & UHNWI and different Governments, International Organisations and Individuals related to the UN.

They started creating innovation in business learning in different areas of Business such as Agriculture, Media, Health, Law, Music and Economy with flexible programs for helping busy adults study from anywhere.

AKBS offers distance education with self-paced programs taken online and developed in the real work environment through our different programs of executive education and networking opportunities.

Now AKBS is composed of Al-Khalifa Business School, London Health School and ASEAN University International, with presences in more than 40 countries across the globe.

AKBS offers online, on-site and dual programs on Business, health, law and finance, running accredited and professional education through their different platforms in each country they work in.

The AKBS Founder is Prof. Sir Manuel Freire-Garabal. He is the Chairman of Al-Khalifa Business School, Managing Director of AKBS Education Holdings and London Health School and Rector-Chancellor of ASEAN University International.

He is a lawyer, journalist, professor who advises many universities across the globe, including the Harvard Medical School, whom Governments across the World have recognised.

His academic abilities took him to participate at the World Economic Forum and some IVY League Universities.

He belongs to several British and Irish Royal societies and Spanish and American academies as a professor.

At only 27 years old, he is a diplomat who serves as Special Envoy to the General Direction of Madagascar Presidential Projects. He is an official advisor of different African countries, United Nations high officials, and Royal Families all over the World.

As a journalist, he has been invited to collaborate in media at Harvard, Yale, Berkeley, MSNBC, Microsoft, Le Figaro and Le Monde. He is a regular contributor to The Economic Times and The Times of India.

As a lawyer and businessman, he is the Chairman of the Al-Khalifa Business School and an advisory board member of global corporations, UHNWI and Family Offices.

In philanthropy, he achieved different public references such as “Humanitarian Person of the Year” and “Personality of the Year” by the International Tourism Magazine Dstinos Peru.

In the US, he received the highest recognitions given by the State from the Governors Andy Beshear (Kentucky) and the Asa Hutchinson (Arkansas). He was also recognised by Lions International Club in Florida and the Bahamas because of his humanitarian contributions to education and social welfare.

He proudly serves Community Service Policeman in the US after completing his graduation in Florida in 2021.
