Dr. Jacinta Dsilva is currently the Director of Research at SEE Institute for Sustainability and Climate Action – located in the Sustainable City, Dubai, UAE. She is also a Visiting Research Scholar at Chongqing Technology and Business University, Chongqing, China and a Visiting Professor at York St. John University at the Dubai Campus.
Her Ph.D. is from Coventry University, the UK in Marketing and Service Quality and possesses two Masters degrees in Human Resource Management (Mumbai University) and Marketing (Karnataka State University) respectively.
Her academic and industry experience spans over 20 years at the middle management level. She has worked at prestigious Universities in Dubai such as Modul University, Higher Colleges of Technology, Emirates Aviation University and the University of Wollongong in Dubai. Her areas of specialization are Marketing Management, Sustainable Development, Corporate Communications, Consumer Behavior, Service quality and Supply Chain Management. She has been extensively involved in Curriculum Development, Accreditation processes and has taken up leadership positions in different departments. She was involved in organizing innovation and entrepreneurship competitions and has mentored several market-ready startups. Dr. Dsilva was also involved in the world-class project “EXPO 2020” in the capacity of researcher and reviewer.
She has published several books such as ‘Business Communication’ and edited a book ‘Surviving COVID-19 Pandemic’ in 2020. She is quite passionate about sustainability and therefore published “SDG-5: Gender Equality & Female Empowerment Policy for Sustainable Development” in 2021 and recently published a book on “Strategic Corporate Social Responsibility in the 21st Century”.
Dr Dsilva has contributed as the core team at the Academy of Business (MENA Chapter) and has presented papers at several international conferences and has published at peer-reviewed journals such as Scopus, ABDC and Web of Science Journals. She is heavily involved in research advisory committees at several Universities and schools in Dubai.
